It's worth every mile. This is the Great Gallery, one of the most spectacular pictograph panels in the Southwest. It stretches more than 100 feet along the canyon wall, with some of the figures more than 6 feet tall.
Great Gallery detail. The paintings are believed to be at least 3,000 years old.
More detail. This style of art is found through the region, and is known as the Barrier Canyon style, after the original name of Horseshoe Canyon.
