On our final day before flying home, we took a boat to see the breeding colony of Magellanic penguins on Magdalena Island, located in the Strait of Magellan about 20 miles from Punta Arenas.
The males were molting, and looked about as cold in the wind and rain as we did.
The youngsters were pretty cute, though.
